Obituary for Maurice Joseph John Whalen

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mr. Maurice Joseph John Whalen on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the age of 62 years. Maurice made many good friends and coworkers at Olymel over several years. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his three children; Andrew, Crystal, and Blake of Red Deer, Alberta; along with his brother, Ronald Whalen of Ottawa, Ontario, and his sister, Debbie Whalen Sumner (Ron Thorne) of Red Deer, Alberta, his nephew, Jesse Sumner, and niece Nastashia Sumner both of Red Deer, Alberta. Maurice’s furry four legged friend, “Snowball” will also miss him dearly. He will also be sadly missed by his church family, “The Bible Believer's Brethren”; which were a huge part of Maurice’s life. Maurice was predeceased by his wife, Karen Wright in 2003, and his parents, Raymond and Theresa Whalen. A Celebration of Maurice’s Life will be held at the Pines Community Hall, 141 Pamely Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
