Mr. Kenneth Earl ‘Ken’ Stuart, beloved husband of Mrs. Melba Stuart of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Ken was born on April 1, 1929 at Preston Waterloo, Ontario. He especially enjoyed hunting in his younger years and was an avid golfer. Ken worked at the Bowden Institution; as a Painting Instructor teaching the inmates, until his retirement. Ken loved his family dearly and was very proud of his beautiful large family. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty-eight years, Melba of Red Deer; his three sons; Ronald of Red Deer, Ken (Lyvonne) of Virden, Manitoba and Raymond (Donna), also of Red Deer, his eight daughters; Lynn (Norm) of St. Albert, Alberta, Carol of Red Deer, Gwen and Pauline (Vern), all of Okotoks, Alberta, Doreen (Frank) and Donna, all of Red Deer, Kathy of Calgary, Alberta and Colleen (Colin) of Blackfalds, Alberta; thirty-two grandchildren and sixty great grandchildren. Ken was predeceased by his parents, four grandchildren and a great grandson. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Ken’s honor may be made directly to Unit 32, Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre or the donor’s choice.
