Carole-Anne Wilson of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the age of 66 years. Carole-Anne was born on May 23, 1947 at Stockport, Cheshire, England. She attended school in Britain; was also home schooled and finished her High School at the early age of 13 years old. In 1961, Carol-Anne moved to Richmond Hill, Ontario. She began her long standing career with Sears Canada after moving to Surrey, British Columbia and eventually moved to Red Deer in 1999. She continued working for Sears until sadly her ill health caused her to retire. During her many years of employment there, Carole-Anne made some very dear and lifelong friendships which she cherished deeply, with all her heart. Her loving spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carole-Anne leaves to mourn her loss, her loving friends, who cared for her during her illness with steadfast love and endurance; Donna Bougiridis, Brenda Anderson, Mel LeBlanc and Linda Saretzky. She will also be missed by two sons, Jonathan and David, both of Vancouver, British Columbia. Carole-Anne fondly and thoughtfully appreciated the compassion and care of Dr. Badenhorst and his staff, as well as their friendship and loyalty during her time of need. A Celebration of Carole-Anne’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Gary Sinclair officiating. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Carole-Anne`s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society at www.cancer.ca.
