Mrs. Leonia Leone ‘Lee’ Thereza Fleming passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Lee was born on August 11, 1928 at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, eventually moving to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. For many years, Lee worked in Ladies Wear and Fashion, and made countless friends through her years in Ladies Wear. She was a Real Estate Agent, and worked in the first All Woman Real Estate Company in Saskatoon. Lee was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 63 in Saskatoon; as well as the Royal Purple in Saskatoon. Lee was very well known for her knitting and for donating her beautiful Saskatchewan Roughrider Afghans to the Legion for raffle draws. She generously donated her time and chaired many Fashion Shows to raise funds for the Royal Purple. Besides the many hours Lee spent being involved in her community, she was an avid golfer, a sport she loved. She raised her family of four, two sons and two daughters and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Lee will be very sadly missed but forever remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Lee will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dwight (Brenda) Lemky of Calgary, Alberta and Tom Lemky of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, her daughters, Eleanor (Bob) Sugarman of Red Deer, Alberta and Anita Lemky of Edmonton, Alberta; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Lee was predeceased by both her husbands, Martin Lemky and Tom Fleming, and all her siblings; five brothers and two sisters.
