It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Clinton Ray Seifried in Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Clinton was born in Trochu, Alberta on October 18, 1948 to Alma and Adolph Seifried. He was the eighth of thirteen children. Clinton met and married Laurie Merz on June 1, 1974, and together they raised their one son, Shane. He was known for his work ethic and his love of family. Clinton will be lovingly remembered by his son, Shane (Teri); his grandchildren, Jayde and Kayden; his brothers, Wallace (Donna), Gary and Larry (Karen); his sisters, Shirley (Richard) Lockhart, Darlene (John) Dean, Elaine (Fred) Cook, Audrey (Ernie) Dean and Cindy (Darren) Griffin; fifteen nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, Tom (Dianne) Brown, Dorian (Juanita) Brown and Leo (Faye) Carter; as well as their children and grandchildren. Clinton was predeceased by his wife, Laurie, his parents, Alma and Adolph; a brother, Keith; his sisters, Dalphene, Doreen and Bev; his parents-in-law, Bob and Delores Merz, and a sister-in-law, Sherran Carter. He will be greatly missed by all, and may he rest in peace. Respecting Clinton’s wishes, no service will be held.
