Gyöngyi Maria Sulyak (Troncos)
With her loving husband by her side, Mrs. Gyöngyi Maria Sulyak of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the Red Deer Hospice, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the age of 62 years. Gyöngyi, or also known as Maria or Mary, was born in Satu Mare, Romania, on May 19, 1956. She was an only child to Lanos and Borbala Troncos of Orasul Nou, Romania. Gyöngyi Maria grew up in her hometown and met the love of her life, Carl Sulyak, at the young age of seventeen. They married six years later, and together, raised two children, Bobby and Brigitta. Years later, the decision was made to move their family to Canada. Gyöngyi Maria began work at the Red Deer Nursing Home, Auxiliary, then with DTHR/AHS for nearly three decades. She made many lasting and meaningful friendships along the way. Gyöngyi Maria will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Carl; children, Bobby (Adraine) and Brigitta; grandchildren, Maggie, Lucy, Nick, Jayden and Keagan; as well as numerous family and close friends. A Memorial Service for Gyöngyi Maria will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar Street, Red Deer, Alberta, on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Gyöngyi Maria’s honour may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com.
