Obituary for Timothy Charles "Tim" Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Timothy Charles
July 3, 1941 – June 2, 2018
Timothy Charles “Tim” Lawrence, of Red Deer Alberta, died peacefully on June 2, 2018. Tim was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Alberta with his parents Nigel and Gwendolyn (Bowman) and his two older brothers Patrick and Michael, in 1950. He Graduated from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in 1960. Tim practiced real estate, owning and operating Lawrence Realty for thirty years, until his retirement in 1992. Tim was a contented man with a solid commitment to community and a fair approach to business. He was an active member of the community; with his beloved neighbors being an extension of his family. Tim was most comfortable both at his Red Deer home and his “hearts home” at Pine Lake. He maintained his quiet and mischievous sense of humor until his final hours. Tim is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Dorothy (Foster), his daughter, Jocelyn Waters, her husband Steven, and their two children, Tessa and Henry and his son, Nigel. Tim is also survived by his brother, Michael and his wife, Sandra (Price), his sister in law, Stephanie (Hall), as well as three nephews and five nieces. Tim was predeceased by his eldest brother Patrick. Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude for Tim’s medical care. Dr. San Vincente, for his compassion, devotion and friendship; and to Dr. Hopfner, who shepherded our family through his illness, as not only a wonderful physician, but also a lifelong neighbor and friend. They provided uncommon care from a bygone era. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club, 4500 Fountain Drive, Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m, to remember and reminisce about Tim’s life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
