Obituary for Margaret Sylvia Stephens (Gronnestad)

Margaret Sylvia Stephens (Gronnestad)
Mrs. Margaret Sylvia Stephens of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Extendicare Michener Hill, Red Deer on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Margaret was born, raised and educated at Sylvan Lake, Alberta. She attended ‘Normal School’ in Calgary, Alberta and received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta. She taught Elementary School before getting married and after raising four gregarious boys. Margaret was very dedicated to her “whole” family; she loved each and every one of her seven children unconditionally. Margaret was a very dedicated teacher having taught in Red Deer, Alberta, Taber, Alberta and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Margaret and Graham retired in Sylvan Lake, and after Graham passed away in 1993, Margaret moved to Red Deer. Margaret and Graham were fabulous grandparents to her beloved grandchildren and are both deeply missed by: Tina (Trueman), Maria, Jeffery (Sunisa), Tara (Trevor), Jayme (Kieren), Leigh (Victor), Nick, and Nate. Margaret and Graham travelled extensively with Graham driving and Margaret “Navigating”. We will all miss her smiling face and loving personality.

“Rest in Peace Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma”

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donald, Bill (Heather), Clem (Katie), Eileen, Ann, and Kathy (Cliff); and her great grandchildren, Taelyn, Tatiana, and Jimmy.
