Mrs. Teresa Padilla Dacayanan passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the age of 90 years. Teresa was born in Caoigue, Tabao La Union, Philippines on January 23, 1927. She moved from the Philippines to Prince George, British Columbia on January 11, 1993 and then eventually moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 2005, to be with her grandchildren. She was a devoted Catholic and member of the Catholic Women’s League at the St. Isidore Parish Church in the Philippines. Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her five children; Joselito (Vina) Dacayanan, Chita (Kerry) Stanyer, Marites (Joe) Kavanagh, Lilia (Patrick) Cabutotan and Marilou (Flo) Padilla. Also left to cherish her memory are seven grandchildren; Jonnalyn, Janica, William Nico, Jyrell, Michael, Amanda, and Richard; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, distant relatives and dear friends. Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Rufo in 1978. A public visitation will be at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass for Teresa will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 – 48a Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Father Jozef Wroblewski, Celebrant.
