QUINN, Wayne Arthur
1941 - 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Arthur Quinn announce his passing at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, June 15, 2009 with his loving wife of 28 years, Elaine by his side. He will be sadly missed by his son, Kelly (Janine) Quinn; daughters, Carlene Marshal and Colette (Don) Scott; stepson, Jack (Brenda) Burrows; stepdaughters, Debbie Burrows and Karry (Bob) Leonard; sister, Marion (Garnet) Reid and uncle, Howard Rodgers. Wayne also leaves 10 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Gladys Quinn (nee Nikkel) as well as his two older brothers, Max and Glen Quinn. Elaine and all family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Unit 32 (Palliative Care) at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for their kind, considerate and compassionate care during Wayne’s last days. The tenderness, sensitivity and hugs were greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Dr, Hopfner for his concern, attention and accepting Wayne into his care during his final days. Words simply do not allow us to fully express our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff during these most difficult times. Funeral Services will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4718 Ross Street, Red Deer, AB on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dewald Delport officiating. A private family inurnment will follow at Alto-Reste Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to make Memorial Donations in Wayne’s name may do so to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Palliative Care Unit, P.O. Bag 5030, Red Deer, AB T4N 6R2 or to a charity of their own choice.
