Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Annette Mercier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Annette Mercier

Annette  Mercier
Annette Mercier of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years after a lengthy illness. Annette will be deeply missed by her children; Larry (Patricia) Coston, Brian (Janice) Coston and Cheryl (Dale) Devereaux, as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annette was predeceased by her son Stephen Coston (Dec. 1980); her husband’s John Coston (Dec. 1986) and Norman Mercier (Jan. 2011). She is survived by her brothers; John (Virginia), Mike (Julie) Pasieka and sister Eileen (Jorge) Garcia. Annette was born north of Edmonton (Chipman, AB) and spent most of her adult life raising a family of four with her husband John in Calgary while working at The Bay and Dome Petroleum. She travelled extensively in her later years, enjoying Mexico, Hawaii, the Far East and wintering in Yuma for many years, where she met Norman and enjoyed 10 wonderful years in Spruce Grove, Alberta with his large loving family. The family would like to thank Virginia Asister for her wonderful care and companionship to Annette over the last four years, she was truly an Angel. Mom’s celebration of life will be held in Red Deer at the Holiday Inn & Suites South, 33 Petrolia Drive, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, September 8th at 1:30 p.m. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Annette’s family at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
