Obituary for Mary Lou Follington
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lou Follington. A loving devoted, sister,
auntie, sister-in-law, co-worker and a special friend to many. Mary Lou passed away at Gull Lake, Alberta, Saturday, August 12, 2017. Mary was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 2, 1959; she was raised in Port Dover, Ontario and then later moved to Nordegg, Alberta where she has worked at the Lodge among her second family and loving friends. She was a selfless person in all aspects of life, she lived to make others happy especially her nephews, Chris, David, Jesse and Diego, they gave her the most fulfillment. Her passion was shopping and travelling. Mary Lou is survived by her mother, Rose, sisters, Patty and Jackie (Frank), brother, James (Ahlizza). Mary Lou was predeceased by her father, Clarence.
Mary Lou’s family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and their support at this difficult time.
A Celebration of Mary Lou’s Life will be held at Nordegg Lodge Restaurant, Nordegg, Alberta on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Mary Lou’s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Lacombe Victim Services. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040.
